Present Suffering and Future Glory
Scripture for Meditation
Romans 8:18 New International Version (NIV)
18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
As Christians, we must live in this but have hope for a better future with Christ despite current suffering. We must remind ourselves that like Jesus we must focus on the glory set before us.
You be blessed

The Greatness of God’s Power in us.
Scripture for Meditation
Ephesians 3:20-21 King James Version (KJV)
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
King James Version (KJV)

These verses should encourage us to know that God can do immeasurably more than we could ask or think accordingly to the power that works in and through us. That is an amazing thought to meditate on.
Be Blessed

Scripture for Meditation Psslm 118:24
This is a day that the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Rejoice that God has given you another day of life. Ask God to grant you His joy today. My prayer for all my friends today is that even in the midst of life’s challenges that you will remember that the joy of the LORD is your strength. May God’s Riches Blessings be upon each of you today.
You Be encouraged, and Be Blessed.

Scripture for Meditation – Philp 2:12-13
Philip. 2:12-13 “Work out your own soul salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God that operates in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Phillip. 2:12-13. Salvation is a free give from God to those who trust Jesus Christ. But after we receive the gift we must work with God and allow Him to work out in our lives what pleases HIm. And we should do it with reverence and awe. Workout your own soul salvation today by working with God today. Be Blessed,
Pastor MJ Watts

Seeing that we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses. Let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily beset us and let us run with patient endurance the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus- Heb. 12:1,2,3A- A powerful passage that teaches that God has set a race path before each of us that we must run. We must choose to lay aside anything that hinders us from running our race to win. My prayer is that you will run your race today and keep looking unto Jesus.

I commend each of you for attending the Neighborhood Overlay Redistricting
meeting at Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary School, yesterday. Your presence was a powerful statement of your concerns for your community and determination that your voices be heard. Your engagement with representatives from the City Planning Department is what civic engagement looks like… I encourage you to attend Monday’s Charleston City Council meeting and let your voices be heard by the full Council. I also encourage you to thank Ward 4 City Councilwoman Tiffany Plear for her excellent leadership, Councilman Chuck Overstreet and Councilwoman Naomi Bays for their support in attending the meeting. Since I arrived at the meeting late, there may have been other councilpersons there that I did not see. “Working together we can advance the West Side Revive Movement for Change”
The time is now. Be Blessed.
